The Farm

At Swamp & Soul Farm & Forest Program, we believe childhood was created to be full of meaningful time spent in God’s creation.

Inspired by the gentle, child-led principles of Cedarsong Pedagogy, our days are intentionally unhurried. Children/Teens are given space to follow their curiosity, explore the natural world, ask questions, take healthy risks, build confidence, create, imagine, and learn through hands-on experiences. Rather than rushing children from one structured activity to the next, we allow the forest, the farm, the seasons, and each child’s God-given interests to help weave their day.

The woods become a place for discovery, the farm becomes a place for responsibility, and all of creation becomes an opportunity to recognize the beauty, truth and goodness of our Creator.

Our faith is the foundation of our program. We want children to know that the trees they climb, the animals they care for, and the incredible world they explore, were lovingly made by God. We hope to nurture children who are curious, courageous, compassionate, resilient, and deeply aware of the wonder of God’s handiwork.

From seasonal Forest School sessions, and farm experiences, to summer camps and opportunities for older Swamplings, each program is rooted in faith, nature, community, and the belief that children flourish when they are given time and space to simply be children.
